The California Poppy

California poppy (official state flower) growing on the north side of Mount Sutro behind the University of California, San Francisco.

The California Admission Day 1910 Festival took place in  San Francisco September 8, 9, 10. It celebrated the anniversary of when California become the thirty-first state to be admitted to the Union on September 9, 1850.
