Hi, from the Football Hall of Fame City, CANTON, OH. Have been
collecting cards for MANY years, WW2, Covered bridges, florals, etc.
Is there a club I could contact nearby? Is there a newsletter
available? Any help appreciated. Many thanx.

Dear Mr. Lew,
Nice site and how nice to find an old acquaintance. I did enjoy our past correspondence and missed your writing. Hope you and your family are well.
I found the site while doing a Google search for California Admission Day. Did not know about that event but just acquired a real photo with some ladies on a wagon. I guess now I can list on e-bay since I know about the event.
Hope your goats have grown in number.

I have a book from the 1915 Panama Pacific International Exposition in San Francisco that I
acquired after my grandfather died. It has about 23 pages of photos/drawings from the exposition. Is this rare?

Yes! I finally found a site that I think can help me. I have many, many old San Francisco 1939 Exposition cards, a few, I think of the earthquake, and many of the Long Beach area dating from the early 1900's to 1939. How can I find out what these are worth?
I may be joining your organization soon.

We are inviting members to contribute old postcards with a cafe theme to be displayed as part of the exhibition - THE CAFES OF SAN FRANCISCO. We extend the offer to all of your members. We think that we would set aside an entire display case on this theme - historic SF cafe postcards.

Have a lot of memorabilia from Great White Fleet and postcards of San Francisco and ports the ships called on from that time period. Have the actual booklet Uncle Sam's Warships with fold out showing pictures of the ships. Invitation to the GWF for tea in Japan.

I stumbled across a ticket book for the GGIE as we were cleaning house. It belonged to my wife's deceased step-dad. It has some unused coupons, and says Good for One Admission to Cavalcade matinee only...Price 40 cents. Wow ! Then I started researching the GGIE on the internet. I guess I never thought much about it before and it's historical significance. Pretty Cool ! living in Oklahoma

Send a postcard to Finnish Astronautical Society !
It may be theme:SPACE (of course), but if you
don`t find one, a view card is OK. Use finest pictorial
stamps and if possible, put the card in an envelope,
so we get the card in better condition.
